Three People Found Deceased In Manchester Identified By Police

Manchester, NH - Manchester Police released the names of three people found deceased in different locations around Manchester last week.

On Monday, February 6th the day after record-setting cold temperatures a man was found deceased in the stairwell of the Victory Parking garage around 5:45 a.m. by a parking garage employee. Police have identified the man as Steven Larosa, 37.

Another man was found deceased just before noon under the Bridge Street Bridge in a tent. The tent was part of a small encampment along the railroad tracks near Bedford Street. Police have identified the man as Christopher Upham, 48 who appears to have been homeless.

A woman was found unresponsive later that night near the old police station at 351 Chestnut Street. Despite life-saving measures, she was unable to be revived. She has been identified as Crystal DiFranco, 29.

Manchester Police Spokesperson Heather Hamel said that at this time none of the deaths appear to be suspicious and the exact cause of death is pending toxicology tests.

AMR Regional Director Chris Stawasz had released information earlier that indicated there had been nine deaths that appeared to be overdose related at the beginning of February. Initial information is that the deaths of these three people are included in those statistics.

A small encampment is located on Vine Street across the street from where Steven Larosa, 37 was found deceased in the stairwell of the Victory Parking Garage on February 6th.

A small encampment under the Bridge Street Bridge is the location where Christopher Upham, 48 was found deceased on February 6th.
