The Works Café is now open at 1000 Elm Street.

The café will be open daily from 6 AM to 8 PM, offering indoor dining and outdoor seating in a grassy courtyard.

The menu includes hearty breakfasts, artisan sandwiches, organic quinoa bowls, fresh salads, and La Minita single-source coffee. Additional items include breakfast burritos, house-baked breads and pastries, smoothies, soups, and comfort foods. The café offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, with specialties like fresh bagels and smoked salmon.

The Works uses meats from humane-certified farms, with animals raised without antibiotics or hormones and fed an all-vegetarian diet.

Founder and CEO Richard French opened the first Works Café in Manchester, Vermont, in 1988. A passionate advocate for fresh, healthy, and responsibly sourced food, French emphasizes local ingredients, such as:

* Organic flour from Farmer Ground Flour (NY)

* Eggs from Nelly’s Free Range (NH)

* Yogurt from Stonyfield Farm(NH)

* Smoked salmon from True North Salmon (New Brunswick)

* Blueberries from Wyman’s (Maine)

The new Manchester café was built using repurposed and eco-friendly materials, including reclaimed wood furniture, energy-efficient kitchen appliances, and LED lighting—all of which support The Works’ commitment to sustainability.
