Shooter Hits Car And Building In Alley Shortly After Woman And Child Exit Vehicle

Manchester, NH - Manchester Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday in an alley behind a multi-unit residential building on Spruce Street.

Witnesses told Manchester Information that a dark-colored sedan pulled up and a man fired shots hitting the vehicle and a nearby structure. The shooting happened shortly after a woman had exited the vehicle with a child at about 11:15 a.m.. No people were injured in the incident, the rear window of the parked vehicle was shot out, and additional damage was caused to the side of the vehicle.

Police had the vehicle towed from the scene and will process it at Manchester Police Headquarters for evidence. The alley was blocked off between Beech Street and Union Street for about two hours while police investigated.

Witnesses say Monday the same vehicle involved in the shooting today was involved as what police described in the call log as a robbery at the same address. There was a fight between two females and two men were witnessed getting out of the same vehicle holding firearms.

The vehicle was described as a dark color vehicle with temporary plates, possibly a Volkswagen, unknown model.

Police also are investigating an armed robbery less than a block away outside Seven Days Market that occurred Wednesday.

Sunday evening an 18-year-old man was shot after pointing a fake 9MM handgun at Manchester Police a few blocks from these incidents.
