New Restaurant "Bond Brewing And BBQ" Coming To Elm Street

Manchester, NH - The former location of Baked Downtown Cafe at the corner of Elm and Concord Street has been empty for an extended time and waiting for a new business to move in.

Recently brown paper was placed on the windows and showed some sort of activity and then the sign “Bond Brewing & BBQ” went up on the side of the building.

Rumors started circulating before the sign went up that a new taco restaurant was going to occupy the space.

While many people shared concerns about how many Mexican restaurants could survive in the downtown area. At the same time, people commented on how successful the annual Taco Tour is and that maybe Manchester needed a taco restaurant.

The new sign and name brought confusion but soon it was clarified that it would be Tex-Mex, and barbecue all rolled into one restaurant.

The owner of the restaurant told the Manchester Union Leader “It’s a Chipotle or California Burrito on steroids,” he said with a chuckle. “Basically Tex-Mex with barbecue, rice bowls, tacos, and more.” The menu will also include brisket, crunch wraps, smash burgers, smoked barbecue chicken, pizza, pulled pork, and quesadillas. Soups and salads will also be on the menu. Unique offerings will include carne asada waffle fries and guacamole flights.

Beer will be served at the restaurant and will feature some of the products from Stark Brewing which is brewed in the nearby Millyard. Peter Telge the owner of Stark will be the one behind the new restaurant concept and has significant experience in the restaurant business.

No specific opening date has been announced at this time, but it should open sometime in the next 45 to 60 days
