Police Continue To Search For Very Dangerous Man After Early Morning Assault

MANCHESTER, NH - Manchester Police searched several areas in the city Thursday for a 26-year-old man who they say is extremely dangerous.

The search began after a violent assault in the South end of Manchester. Police are looking for Drew Fortier who was last seen around 3 a.m. in the area of Weston Road. Fortier is wanted for first-degree assault.

Police said Fortier is considered to be very dangerous and is believed to be suffering from mental health issues. A be on the lookout broadcast to several area cities and towns indicated he may have a knife with him.

Thursday afternoon police surrounded a house associated with Fortier and searched the area around the house with a K9.

Fortier is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and 155 pounds. He was last seen on foot in the area of Weston Rd around 3 am this morning. If Fortier is seen, please do not approach him and call 911 immediately.
