One Person Dead After Apparent Shooting In Rite Aid Parking Lot On Elm St.
Manchester, NH - One man is dead, from an apparent gunshot wound outside of a Manchester Rite Aid on Elm Street.
Police, Fire and EMS responded to a reported shooting just before 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the parking lot of the business at 1631 Elm Street. Manchester Firefighters and AMR medics rendered medical aid to a man, and rushed him to the Elliot Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The NH Attorney General’s Office and Manchester Police said that they are investigating the incident and all people involved have been identified, and there is no danger to the public,
The press release from the AG, and police referred to the situation as a suspicious death investigation and that all aspects of the incident would be investigated including the possibility of self defense.
Wednesday morning the parking lot of the business was closed off with yellow crime scene tape, and Manchester Detectives were processing the scene. Several customers and employees arrived and were turned away, and told to come back in a few hours.
Several evidence markers were spread across a large area of the parking lot, and a pile of personal belongings was piled where it appears the man was treated.
Authorities only released that it was an adult male, and did not release an age or name.
