NHSP Major Crime At Crime Scene In Litchfield

LITCHFIELD, NH — Litchfield police, and New Hampshire State Police are on Evergreen Circle for an unknown incident on Wednesday.

Just after midnight, Litchfield Fire and Hudson EMS were dispatched to “stage in the area” for a possible assault. After a short time, police gave the approval for Litchfield firefighters to approach the scene.

The New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit was called in later. Investigators are at what appears to be a single-family home on Evergreen Circle. The entire property is surrounded by crime scene tape and members of the major crime unit are entering and exiting the house. They also were seen photographing vehicles outside and the yard.

**Update - At 9:10 a.m. the Litchfield Police posted an alert on their FaceBook page that said:

The Litchfield Police Department in conjunction with the New Hampshire State Police are investigating a crime scene in Litchfield. The investigation is active and ongoing. There is no danger to the public, as it appears to be an isolated incident. Further details will be released at a later time.

This post will be updated as additional official information becomes available.
