Manchester Man Killed In Accident On I-93 Ramp In Hooksett
HOOKSETT, NH - A Manchester man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Hooksett early Sunday morning.
Hooksett Fire, police, and New Hampshire State Police responded to a report of a vehicle off the road at the southbound exit 9 on-ramp coming from interstate 93.
Responders arriving at the scene found a green 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe that had failed to negotiate the turn on the on-ramp. State Police said the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Despite lifesaving measures taken by emergency crews, Kenneth J Hallam, 45 of Manchester was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation as well as the Hooksett Police and Fire Department. The Exit 9 southbound on-ramp was shut down for approximately 3 hours while the scene was processed.
All aspects of the crash are under investigation but speed appears to be a factor according to Trooper Jacob Winslow. Anyone with information pertaining to the crash is asked to contact Trooper Jacob Winslow at (603) 271-3636.
