Firefighter Respond To Page Street Garage Fire

Manchester Fire responded to a report of smoke coming from a 4-bay garage behind 741 Page St. on Thursday.

Firefighters arrived at 2:00 p.m. with smoke coming from one of the garage bays, and a bystander was attempting to extinguish the fire.

The fire appears to have started behind the garage and extended into the walls of the structure. Crews removed parts of the wall in order to access the fire and fully extinguish it.

The under control was given quickly, and MFD investigators are looking into the cause and origin of the fire.

No one was injured in the incident. Page Street was closed for about 30 minutes while apparatus and hose lines blocked the street.
