Another Fugitive of the Week Located and Arrested

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces the arrest of former Fugitive of the Week, Justin Robert Washburn. Washburn, 33, was wanted on a parole violation, stemming from a felony conviction of armed robbery with a deadly weapon (636:1).

Washburn was featured as the Department’s Fugitive of the Week on June 21, 2023. The Department of Corrections contacted Laconia Police Department once Washburn became a fugitive, sending them his parole warrant, and Fugitive of the Week posting.

On June 22, 2023, a Laconia Police Officer observed Washburn walking into a local business on Union Avenue. The officer then arrested Washburn as he exited. Washburn is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections.

The Fugitive of the Week program was launched by the Department of Corrections in March of this year to encourage public assistance in locating individuals who have absconded from supervision. Each Wednesday, the Department shares information on a specific fugitive through various communications platforms, and with law enforcement through the New Hampshire Information and Analysis Center.
