38-Year-Old Manchester Man Killed In Pedestrian Accident
MANCHESTER, NH - A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in December at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Bridge Street has died from injuries sustained in the accident.
Manchester Police, fire, and AMR responded to the intersection for a report of a pedestrian down in the roadway that had been struck on December 20th at approximately 8:25 p.m.
Police located a Honda Civic at the intersection and the 65-year-old female driver who was uninjured was outside the vehicle. A 38-year-old man was in the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
After an inquiry, Manchester Information learned that the pedestrian who was seriously injured had succumbed to his injuries on December 22nd. Police identified the man as 38-year-old Daniel Green of Manchester.
MPD Spokesperson Heather Hamel said that the investigation is still ongoing and it is unknown if there will be any charges, there are no charges at this time.
In a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for Daniel Green’s cremation, it says that the day Green was struck was his birthday.
His mother is located in North Carolina and cannot travel due to a medical condition.
