Woman Out On Bail Charged In Apartment Break-In

On June 21, 2022, at approximately 6:20 AM, Manchester Police responded to the area of Union St and Laurel St for a weapons call.


It was reported that a Beech St resident had woken up to find an unknown woman in her bedroom. Upon waking the tenant, the woman immediately ran from the apartment and the victim chased her. During the pursuit the suspect took a BB gun from her purse and threw it at the victim, striking her in the face.


The victim dialed 911 as she continued to run and police were able to take the suspect into custody in the area of Union and Laurel Streets.


The suspect was identified as 34-year-old Renee Wright of Manchester (no set address). In her purse, police located several items belonging to the victim, as well as suspected heroin/fentanyl.


Wright was charged with Burglary, Possession of a Controlled Drug, and Simple Assault. Wright was also found to be out on bail from another incident. She was additionally charged with Breach of Bail.
