Police, Fire, EMS Respond To Reported Stabbing At Pine And High Street
MANCHESTER, NH - Manchester Police, fire, and EMS responded to a report of a person with a stab wound at the corner of High and Pine Street Thursday.
Responders arrived just before 5 p.m. and found a male suffering an injury and appeared to be uncooperative with responders. Several witnesses reported that a potential suspect fled the scene on foot running in a westerly direction on High Street.
Medics and firefighters assisted the injured man onto a stretcher and he was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Police cordoned off the area with crime scene tape, and closed down several intersections to set up a perimeter, and began searching for the person who fled the scene.
Clothes with blood on them and a bicycle were on the ground on the northeast corner of High and Pine next to the basketball court, and bike repair station.
A K9 officer and several officers followed a trail of what appeared to be blood on High Street and traveled in a westerly direction.
Police set several evidence markers on the ground next to areas that appeared to have blood.
Detectives arrived at the scene and gathered evidence, and then reopened the road and broke down the crime scene tape.
At this time Manchester Police have not released any information on the victim or possible suspect. It is not known if the two people involved knew each other or if it was a random attack.
Additional information will be provided if the police release anything.
