National Drug Take Back Day 2022

The bi-annual National Drug Take Back Day will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The drop-off location in Manchester will be at the Elliot at River’s Edge at 175 Queen City Ave.

The United States Drug Enforcement Administration, Diversion Control Program coordinates the annual program so people can properly dispose of prescription medication.

Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue.

They can lead to accidental poisoning, overdoses, and abuse. Our goal is to have every citizen turn in their unused, expired or unwanted prescription medications, so they can be safely discarded.

The DEA will accept pills and patches but cannot accept liquids, needles, or sharps. Vaping devices and cartridges will also be accepted. However, the DEA cannot accept devices with lithium batteries.
