Manchester Escapee Located And Arrested In Somersworth
SOMERSWORTH, NH - Jacob Maciaszek was placed on escape status on Saturday, October 7th after he failed to return to the Calumet House Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester following his shift at a local business.
On Friday information suggesting that Maciaszek might have established a campsite in a wooded area near Rollinsford and Somersworth was investigated.
Department of Corrections investigators received assistance from the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit and conducted an aerial search for Maciaszek using a state police helicopter.
Rollinsford Police Department assisted in the ground search efforts and Maciaszek was located at a campsite in Somersworth. He was taken into custody by Somersworth Police Department without incident.
Maciaszek was incarcerated for burglary and receiving stolen property with a minimum parole eligibility date of February 11, 2024, and a maximum release date of August 15, 2026.
Maciaszek is currently in custody at the Strafford County House of Corrections, where he awaits transport to the New Hampshire State Prison for Men. Maciaszek is incarcerated for burglary (NH RSA 635:1:I) and receiving stolen property (NH RSA 637:7) with a minimum parole eligibility date of February 11, 2024, and a current maximum release date of August 15, 2026.
