Man Runs Over Three People While Fleeing Fight
On July 10, 2022, at approximately 3 AM, Manchester Police responded to 495 Dubuque St for a fight.
When the officer arrived on the scene, he got out of his cruiser and began approaching a group of approximately 20 people. As he did so, a male got into a car, put the vehicle in reverse, and accelerated toward a group of females. The vehicle collided with the females as well as a parked car. The driver did not stop, but continued to reverse, and ran the females over. Despite being told to stop multiple times, he left the area. The three victims were transported to Elliot Hospital with serious injuries.
During the investigation, police identified the suspect as 24-year-old David Hamilton of Manchester. After the incident, Hamilton crashed his car into a house on Wayne St and took off on foot, leaving a small dog inside the vehicle.
Hamilton was later located and arrested. He faces charges of Second Degree Assault (3 counts), Disobeying a Police Officer, Conduct After an Accident- Felony (3 counts), Conduct After an Accident – Misdemeanor (2 counts), and Cruelty to Animals.
Hamilton will be arraigned today (7/11/2022) in Hillsborough Superior Court-North.
