Man Out on Bail Wanted for Stealing Car

A man arrested three times last month is wanted again, this time for stealing a car.

On October 31, 2023, Manchester Police received a report that Shariff Johnson, 45 with last known address of Brooklyn, NY, got into an argument with a man after entering his car. The man asked Johnson to get out, and when he refused, the man got out of the car to call 911. As he did so, Johnson jumped into the driver’s seat and drove away.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Johnson, charging him with Unauthorized Use (Motor Vehicle Theft). Police also determined that he has two sets of active bail conditions out of Manchester District Court. Therefore, Johnson will additionally be charged with Breach of Bail. Prior to this incident, Johnson had been arrested three times in October. Those recent charges include Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of a Controlled Drug, and Breach of Bail.
