Man Arrested for Assault and Robbery

On October 5, 2023, at approximately 7:20 AM, Manchester Police responded to the 7-11 at 242 Beech St. for a report of an assault.

Arriving officers learned that two men had argued in the parking lot. When the argument turned physical, one man hit the other with a glass bottle that shattered into his torso. The victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening.

The suspect left the scene but was quickly located by officers. He was identified as Zachariah Head, 29 of Manchester (no set address). Head was charged with Second Degree Assault.

Police also had probable cause to charge Head in connection with a robbery at the Dollar Deluxe on October 3, 2023. In that incident, Head entered the store, picked up two cases of beer, and left without paying. When the clerk confronted him, Head reportedly told him he had a gun and threatened him.
