Man Arrested After Three Young Children Found Alone In Vehicle With A Loaded Gun

Manchester Police responded to Walmart on Gold Street in Manchester on Monday for a report of three young children in an unattended vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle and found three children ages 9, 1, and 8 months old in the backseat. The car was locked and running, but no adults were present. Witnesses told police the children had been in the vehicle for about 20 minutes.

Tyler Kennedy, 27 came out of Walmart while the officers were in the car. Through the course of the investigation, police learned that a loaded gun was also in the car.

The gun was located in a backpack that was accessible to the children. A knife was also located in the bag.

An AMR ambulance was summoned to the scene to evaluate the children for any possible medical issues.

It was determined there was probable cause to arrest Kennedy on what police observed, he was charged with 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
