Man Arrested After Shot Spotter Alert

On April 19, 2023, at approximately 1:30 AM, Manchester Police responded to a west side neighborhood for a Shot Spotter alert of a single gunshot.

Arriving officers saw a male in dark clothing walking in the area. Upon seeing the officer, the male turned around and began walking faster. The officer approached the male and spoke with him. Through the course of the interaction, the male was moving erratically and changed his statements several times. As a precaution, the male was put in handcuffs. The male, identified as Dylan Hughes, 22, of Manchester was found to have cocaine in his pocket and a loaded gun with a scratched-off serial number.

Police also learned that Hughes had an active warrant out of Londonderry for Possession of a Controlled Drug.

Along with the warrant, Hughes was charged with Possession of Controlled Drug (Cocaine), Felonious Use of a Firearm, and Handgun Changing Marks. Hughes' arraignment is to be determined.
