Man Arrested After Pointing Gun At Woman With Child

On February 5, 2023, at approximately 11:40 AM, Manchester Police responded to a Central St address for a hang-up call. Dispatch told the officers that the caller heard a male and female yelling and threats being made.

Arriving officers spoke with a woman who reported that she had gotten into an argument with a man she knew. As the argument escalated, the man broke a mirror and then pointed a gun at her while she sat on the bed with her three-year-old child. The man was identified as 26-year-old Tyler Bemis of Manchester.

Bemis had left the residence before police arrived but returned to the building shortly after and was taken into custody without further incident.

Bemis was charged with two counts of both Felony Criminal Threatening and Reckless Conduct, as well as misdemeanor Criminal Threatening, Criminal Mischief and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He is scheduled for arraignment today in Hillsborough Superior Court-North.
