Man and Two Juveniles Arrested After Robbery at Gunpoint
On June 1, 2023, shortly after midnight, Manchester Police responded to the area of Second St and Ferry St for a robbery.
Arriving officers spoke with the victim, who reported that he was walking on Second St when he was violently assaulted and robbed at gunpoint by three masked males.
Around 1:30 AM, an officer in the Cleveland and Blaine Streets area located three individuals matching the description of the suspects.
One of the males, identified as Jamil Delorey, 18, was uncooperative with the police and refused to comply with their commands. He was armed with a gun and struggled violently with the officers as they tried to take him into custody.
“This situation became very intense, very quickly, and I am thankful that none of our officers were hurt,” says Chief Allen Aldenberg, “The Manchester Police Department has no tolerance for this egregious behavior and I am extremely grateful for our officers’ quick work in getting these dangerous individuals off the streets.”
Delorey was charged with Felony Robbery, Theft of a Firearm, and Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon, as well as Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest. Two juveniles were also arrested and charged with Robbery.
