Arrest in Second Degree Assault Investigation
Richard Vazquez, 33 of Manchester turned himself into the Manchester Police Department in connection with an assault that took place last month.
On May 29, 2022, around 4 AM, Manchester Police responded to a Hayward St address for a report of possible gunshots in the area.
When police arrived, they located a woman bleeding heavily from her forehead.
Through the investigation, police learned that the victim had been outside with Vazquez, a man she knew.
Vasquez reportedly hit her in the head with a gun and fired the weapon into the ground. The woman was able to run inside and Vazquez left the area before the police arrived.
Vazquez faces charges of Second Degree Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon, Simple Assault, and Criminal Threatening.
Vazquez was arraigned in Hillsborough Superior Court – North, the bail status is unknown at this time.
