Arrest In Armed Robbery At Elm St. Convenience Store

On December 11, 2022, at approximately 6:45 PM, Manchester Police responded to the Queen City Market at 31 Elm Street for a robbery report.


The store clerk told police that a man walked behind the counter, pulled out a long kitchen knife, and pointed it at him. The clerk was able to run out of the store. When he returned, he found the ATM and cash register destroyed and numerous items, including 2 phones, cigarettes, and cash, missing.


Through the investigation, police were able to identify the suspect as 31-year-old Jonathan Santiago- Martinez of Manchester. A warrant was issued for his arrest and on Monday night, December 12, 2022, Santiago-Martinez was located and arrested. He was charged with Armed Robbery and Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.


Santiago-Martinez was also wanted in connection with a September burglary at Beeze Tees on Elm St. In that incident, the manager opened the store to find substantial damage throughout the business and numerous items and cash stolen.


Santiago-Martinez faces charges of Felony Burglary and Theft by Unauthorized Taking for that incident.


He will be arraigned today, on all charges, in Hillsborough Superior Court-North.
