MFD Respond To Building Fire Near Manchester Fire Headquarters

Manchester, NH - Manchester Fire received a report of a fire at 188 Merrimack Street Friday. Fire crews from MFD Fire Headquarters at 100 Merrimack Street arrived at the scene in less than one minute.

Smoke was showing from the end unit of a multi-unit residential structure and a working fire status was called bringing additional apparatus and personnel.

Firefighters made entry into the building and quickly located a fire in the kitchen and worked to quickly extinguish it.

Windows and doors were opened so that crews could use fans to remove smoke from the structure.

Due to the quick response time, the fire damage was isolated to the kitchen, however, there was water and smoke damage throughout the unit.

Manchester Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the fire and appears to be accidental.

There were no reported injuries at the scene.
